Garrison Girl, Rachel Aaron-Book Reveiw
Garrison Girl, Rachel Aaron.
I found this book about a year ago at my local Dymocks. I feel so bad that I only got to reading it now. I wish this book could've been longer!
A noble girl named Rosalie, was getting an arranged marriage to a man she barely knew. Her father gives her a year before she turns seventeen to do whatever she wishes.
Rosalie decides to join the Garrison, and do what little she can before she's married off.
She ends up with Jax as the commander of her unit. He has a reputation for killing off his squad members.
Basically, Rosalie falls for him after training sessions and Rosalie teaching Jax how to read.
I honestly thought this would be boring and undramatic. Yet, it gave me Frost Blood vibes. I love when Rosalie told Jax about her arranged marriage Jax didn't go protective boyfriend mode. He tried to listen before pulling the ''But I'm the one who loves you!'' act. Jax was willing to let her get married. He simply just told her that she was being treated like cattle and left it at that.
The fact that the whole relationship wasn't forced really holds the story together.
definitely a good weekend read.
